Los Angeles County African American Infant and Maternal Mortality Prevention Initiative Steering Committee and Community Action Teams have released a statement condemning racism, oppression, and recent unjust killings of Black individuals across the United States. The statement was signed onto by the initiative's network of partners and collaboratives, including LA County Department of Public Health and First 5 LA, the effort's countywide co-leads.
We have received an outpouring of support for this statement and welcome those who would like to express that they too oppose such injustice. Below is the statement:
I stand with the Los Angeles County African American Infant and Maternal Mortality Prevention Initiative Steering Committee and Community Action Teams in condemning racism, oppression, and recent unjust killings of Black individuals across the United States.
