SLA/SB AAIMM CAT Celebrates JUNETEENTH - Freedom Day with our Virtual CommunitiTEA
The Community Outreach & Engagement Workgroup of the SLA/SB AAIMM CAT invites you to join our Juneteenth Freedom Day CelebriTEA, as the kick-off to our second series of virtual offerings this year. The theme is RESILIENCE in honor of Juneteenth - proclaiming resilience for Black mothers, birthing persons and families. Dr. Sayida Peprah will be our keynote speaker for this event, as well, we will have words of wisdom from Wenonah Valentine of Idream for Racial Equity and Mindful Meditation from Loretta "Auntie Lo" Randle. Dr. Peprah is both a licensed clinical psychologist and birth doula with a specialty in multicultural psychology, trauma, suicide prevention and maternal mental health. This event will take place on Zoom and Facebook Live on our Black Infants and Families Los Angeles page.
