MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS: CULTURE AS A SOCIAL DETERMINANT

Join us virtually on Thursday, October 29th in conversation with LA County-based multicultural/ethnic stakeholders as well as providers and leaders from the LA Department of Mental Health.

We will discuss the ways in which mental health matters AND culture matters in Los Angeles County through policy, lived experience, and community-defined evidence-based practices.

Leaders from the Black, Latinx, Asian Pacific Islander, Eastern European/Middle Eastern, and American Indian/Alaska Native communities will convene to discuss CULTURE as a SOCIAL DETERMINANT OF MENTAL HEALTH access, services, and engagement with the LA Department of Mental Health. Organized by California Black Women's Health Project and California Pan-Ethnic Health Network, join us to hear about culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health services and programs and how to expand equity in our systems.
