McKinley's Welcome Baby support team helped Jonrene and Darrion on their parenting journey with coaching and support as new parents in a pandemic.

When our Welcome Baby client, Jonrene Briggs, informed us that she and her family were struggling financially to pay rent, utilities, and cable bill, we immediately activated our village to provide them with assistance. She applied for COVID-19 assistance, but was experiencing challenges getting the help she requested. With Ms. Briggs’ permission, we reached out to our Case Management Support team to identify more resources and support. As a result, we were able to assist the family in getting their bills paid as well as receive a little extra help with other expenses. 

It is our honor to be a part of Jonrene and Darrion's journey as coaches, resource navigators, and advocates. They are clients in our Welcome Baby program, which provides pregnant women and new moms with information, support, and a trusted partner to help them through the journey of pregnancy and early parenthood.
