What does being a Doula mean to you?

Being a doula is a blessed opportunity to show love to families in some of the most vulnerable and exciting moments of life. It means supporting, informing, encouraging, empowering, reaffirming, loving, and nurturing. It is attached to my purpose and calling.

One reason a family should consider having a doula:

Every family has the right to feel and be safe, supported, and heard throughout their pregnancy and birth experience.

Please share a story of one of your most memorable experiences as a doula.

One of my most memorable experiences as a doula was assisting a mother who was giving birth to her first child. The mother faced many obstacles in her pregnancy from housing issues to lack of family support. I felt blessed to be able to support and encourage her through those challenges, while helping her obtain resources of support. Ultimately, being present to support her as she labored and birthed her child was incredible, fulfilling, and empowering.
