The Black Equity Collective (BEC) and partners, Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) and EVITARUS, are preparing for the launch of the "Black-Led Organizations: Strengthening California's Economy and Communities" surveylaunching on Tuesday, July 9th. We need your help to spread the word as far and wide across the state as possible!

For generations, Black-led nonprofits have worked tirelessly and courageously, to create innovative approaches and solutions to the most pressing challenges driving inequity in our communities. We lead with truth, strength, strategic disruption and love which shine through in the programs, services, and care we deliver. Our leadership also contributes to the iconic wealth and culture of California and it’s time that value is recognized as well.

This survey aims to capture and shape the story of our collective, multifaceted contributions to the 5th largest economy in the world! Funders, legislators, our communities and beyond need a new narrative that the success of California is directly tied to the success of Black-led organizations.

To accomplish this goal, we need your support in the following ways:

• If you are part of a Black-led organization, please plan to complete the survey on behalf of your organization and forward this email to any other Black-led organizations anywhere in California to encourage them to complete the survey as well. You will receive the link to the survey on July 9th.

• If you are a funder, partner, or ally to any California-based Black-led organizations in your network and communities, please forward this email to them or direct them to our website to learn more.

• If someone who is committed to your success forwarded your this email, please go to our website to learn more and sign up to directly receive the link to the survey on July 9th.

To thank you and your network for the time and effort to complete the survey, one $75 gift card per organization will be offered to the first 200 responding organizations. All individual responses will be held in confidence and will be aggregated for the final report.
