Thank you all for making this year's Black Maternal Health Week a resounding success!
From storytelling to a barber shop meet-up, journaling to Black film showcases, Black Maternal Health Week activities were as varied as are Black mamas and the Black experience.
It was all-hands-on-deck in the community as our mamas shined. We're especially grateful for all of the event volunteers, partner organizations, and the entire AAIMM village that stepped up to celebrate reproductive justice for Black women and birthing persons.
As part of Black Maternal Health Week, AAIMM also teamed up with Black Women for Wellness to share our message on the sides of prominent buildings across Los Angeles to amplify our programming and shed light on the importance of Black Maternal Health.
The message we aimed to convey is powerful and resonant: "Black Mothers, reclaim your joy!" with the hashtag #BlackMaternalResilience and website link
