McAlister Program believes in supporting the duality that exists in adolescent and young adult parenthood by recognizing the labor involved with navigating multiple competing identities and challenges students confront as they care for themselves and others while thriving academically, socially, and emotionally, like the LAUSD McAlister School model. Despite closure of the actual McAlister School's Southwest LA Campus where we served for over 40 years, we continue to work to support this community of moms and babies.

This is an ongoing support program for young Black moms with sessions scheduled beginning on April 14, 2025 and continuing in May, June, July, September, October, November and December 2025.
