Celebrating Black Families: Persevering Through...And The Beat Goes On
Please join the San Gabriel Valley African American Infant and Maternal Mortality Community Action Team and the Black Mental Health Task Force as we celebrate Black History Month in the San Gabriel Valley!
On February 19 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., we will hold the first event in the “Celebrating Black Families” event series. This event focuses on celebrating our resilience and ability to come together in community and cultural identity. Step is one way to connect to who we are and each other.
We will be featuring #celebrationchallenge participants (video submissions via TikTok and Instagram), engaging in raffles, spoken word, singing and drumming. We will also learn more about Black Greek life, with a Divine 9 panel and education about Step as it relates to our history.
