The Expecting Fathers Group is designed specifically for Black soon-to-be fathers and provides education, support and navigation tools for the prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum and early parenting periods.
This group runs for 5 (five) consecutive weeks. With the knowledge gained and community created in the group, expectant dads can best support their birthing partners, work to reduce stress, and prepare for baby and family bonding.
Expecting Fathers Group is led by Davion Mauldin, MS, DPH Fatherhood Coordinator.

Expecting Father's Group Stories
"Hey Davion,
I just want to let you know our son was born July 28,2024 at 10:24pm.
I just want to say thank you for all your help and assistance. It really helped me out while my woman was in labor. I was there the whole time she was giving birth. I got to see him out. It was the most beautiful experience I ever witnessed. I was the first one to hold my son it was so surreal.
Your advice and information was so helpful I felt really nervous still but very much so prepared for the experience. Thanks for teaching me and taking for hearing me out.
The baby is good , mommy is good. She did the birth vaginally and she was such a trooper the whole time. We’ve been home for about 4 days and day 1 home was rough we’re all still adjusting but we’re figuring it out and he’s getting more use to me.
Thank you again
PS. Also by the why after I held him and they got him situated with his shots. I definitely cried Lmaoo - Derick"
